HP 6820s and Visto Aero

Hi all,

I'm completely new to windows vista Home Premium and when I got my HP 6820s C530EN laptop it seemed to be vista aero capable however I just cannot get this function to work.
I've checked all the necessary settings in the personalized section including the glass setting but still no luck.

The processor is a M530 @ 1.733Ghz and 1Gb of system memory is installed.
Graphics card is a ATI Rad mob X1350 which should also be aero capable. Drivers are also recent and Vista is up to date.

Question- Is there any other settings I'm missing which need to be addressed or additional downloads from either Microsoft or HP? Is the laptop just not up to the job?
