I have an HP 6910 laptop. Windows XP SP3. 3GB of RAM. After working on it all day, go to shutdown, the unit acts as if it is shutting down but it stops and hangs. The only way to shut it down is to hold the on/off button down and wait. Does anyone have any clues? Thanks.

    Hello,

It's likely that process or program is hanging at shutdown.

After turning the PC back on, check the event viewer for any helpful recorded errors.
