Since I'm home a lot more often right now, I'm doing a little sprucing up to all my laptops, starting with my older Elite books.

I've got my 8440p apart to replace a display cable and hinge; I thought I might as well drop in a $20 i7 while I was there.

Main question is will the dual core 640m work on the 8440p? It wasn't a OE processor like the 620M. I know it will fit, but was there any Bios whitelist?
