I have an 8510p and a logitech v470 bluetooth mouse, and can't seem to get the 8510 to see the bluetooth mouse.
The mouse works fine on other notebooks.
As a matter of fact I can't get the 8510p to see a Logitech DiNovo Edge bluetooth keyboard either, and the only way the 8510p sees the keyboard is with a bluetooth adapter in the usb port, which is pretty backwards, if I wanted to use a usb port, I would have bought a usb wireless mouse with adapator.
I have the latest bios(Dec 08) and bluetooth drivers from Hp's site.
The bluelight is on, the Hp Wireless assistant shows bluetooth is one as well as my network wireless.
When I right click and ask it to add a device, it says no device found.
When I use the software to scan for bluetooth devices, it can not see either keyboard or mouse. The bluetooth Setup Wizard says no device can be found.
When I go into My Bluetooth places, and try to scan for devices in range, or add a device, it immediately pops up a message saying there is no device found.
Has ANYONE gotten the bluetooth on the 8510p to work with a mouse or keyboard of any brand?
Between the video problems and other history with this notebook, HP has not done their best by me.
HP 8510P won't see bluetooth mouse or bluetooth keyboard
