Does anyone know if the 8510p will have backlit LED? Also will it sport a built in camera?

No on both counts. HP has LED backlit screens on the 12" business models (2510p and 2710p tablet) only as of now, and no cameras whatsoever for the business line (all of the Pavilions have it as an option though).

I don't know, ThinkPads have them as optional now, and ThinkPad defines business.

Most likely it depends on demand from their major contract customers. As you might already know, Lenovo is "consumerising" the Thinkpad lines and they may have major contracts that demand the webcam feature for their new Thinkpads (some companies may use it for video conferencing), hence the decision to include it.

HP's biggest commercial customers may not have demanded such a feature, thus there's no real need to include them (individual home buyers like us make up only a tiny percentage of sales). Afaik, their biggest competitor is Dell, not Lenovo, and Dell's Latitudes don't have them, so it's not likely that HP will have them unless Dell suddenly decides to introduce webcam to their Latitude lines.
