Ok for those of you who have the HP 8530p with the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screen I have a question for you! what's it like, more specifically what are the Blacks like, for my needs I need to view my PC with white text on black background. so I NEED the blacks to be good. the issue is there is no were in 300 miles that sells HP business comps so I can't actually see the screen.
screens that I have at home to compare:
Acer 22 16:10, 1680x1050) matte LCD
HP 24 2804h 1920x1200 glossy LCD
Lenovo T500 LED WXGA 1280x800 LCD
Acer Ferrari 5000 1680x1050 LCD
Dell SXPS 16 RGB 1920x1080 LED LCD.
I'm really only conserned with blacks.
so can you kind souls give a objective comparasion to any of the above panels or to ANY notebook that I can find in Bestbuy, futureshop or staples?
Thanks so much!

anyone? ANY info is appreciated. for example even if all you can say is 8530p > or < xxxx screen. it would be greatly appreciated. there a ton of laptops in bestbuy, all i need to know is if it better or worse than one of those.

ECHOOOOO! ANY one? ANY oppionion at all?
-
well, i have a 8510p gb967ea with a wsxga+ 1680x1050 screen and i am very satisfied with it. here are two photos, one with, one without flash of a white text on a black background (its powerpoint 2010 > full screen presentation):
sry, i didnt clean the screen and i used a digital cam so there might be some artifacts etc.
btw. the successors of the 8#30 series are coming in january/february 2010, so you might look for a 8540p -
wow, actuall that looks pretty good! any idea if it's the same/similar panel to the 8530p? thanks so much +1.
yah, I know there are some coming in Jan, I really haven't decided weather or not to wait. -
buuummmp.....
-
really? no one has a opinion on this screen?
-
I have a 8510p and the screen looks fine to me.
-
^^ great... but does anyone know if its the same panel on the 8530p?
-
Yes it will be the same CCFL backlit panel. Well, you might get one from a different manufacturer (differs from batches of notebooks). Ask dtwn to check his for you.
-
It maybe the same or may not. Depends on who is the manufacturer of the screen.
-
ok, thanks.
