Will HP ever offer the option for a Dream-Color display on the 8530p/w? Or something along those lines?

Its disappointing that the 8730w is the only model that has such an option for a high-quality display.

Just look at Dell Precision Line-up. The M4400 notebook has an option for an RGB-display just like the M6400.

How long will it take HP to realize this? :(

This are company secrets which no one knows. For now as you said only the workhorse 8730w offers Dreamcolor.
We will see .In my opinion in one year or two when all other companies will offer led screens , so will HP offer Dreamcolor screens in an more affordable price for other notebooks.
    Best regards
