    Hi
I recently bought a HP 9235 nr from best buy (I hate best buy but they were only local place with decent gaming laptops). So far it is a pretty nice laptop asside from the usual buzz problem everyone has. My problem with it however is it's incredibly hot operating temps.
On power saver setting the laptop will run at 40-50c, high performence it will get between 50-65c, and if I play a game for 20-30 minutes and check the temperature, it is up to 70+c. This doesnt seem right to me, and to be over 70c after 30minutes seems rather rediculous. The room I am usually using my laptop in ranged from 60-70f, sometimes colder, never hotter. The fan is working fine from what I can hear. Is this a normal problem or did I get a lemon ;/?

    laptop stats
    intel duo 2 core 1.6ghz
    2gigs ram
    7600 go 256
    17" 1440x900 brightview
    etc.

The Core Duo/C2D CPU's can have no problem with temps up to 100 degress. This number for GPU is even higher...

ah, wasn't aware C2D were able to get that hot w/o much problem. thanks for the info, still wish laptop wasn't getting 70+c, but I guess I can deal with it, definantly wont be on my lap though <_< (then again doubt many use 17" notebooks on their lap DX )
