This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     HP 9640 & 9644 (Canadian) video cards

    I'm looking at both of these. The 9640 (which has a better processor than the 9644?? Weird model numbering...) is available from HP Canada for $1449, and the 9644 is available from futureshop for $1299.
    Both have the 8600M GS 256MB video card.
    How much worse is this than the 8600 GT video card (that Dell offers)?? Will running Flight Simulator X be much different on the two cards?

    Anyone have either of these model laptops? Thoughts??
