Okay this might sound really stupid but My friend has a dv8000t and yesterday was her first time using her battery pack. It didn't really last as long as we expected (4hrs+). Today she tried to remove the battery pack and couldn't. The little latch that push to release the battery was very loose but the battery itself wasn't budging.

She asked me to try as well but nothing can ruin a friendship faster than owing someone $2000.00 for a broken computer. Honestly I am a little scared to touch it and end up forcing it and breaking something. It's stuck tight.

Do you guys have any advise on what to do? Is the battery pack suppose to be hard to remove, are we just being a little to light handed or what? I recently just bought a falcon-nw and with the weight I've made it a point not to move it so I've never installed my battery either so I'm as stuck as she is.

Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks

You just got to fiddle with it. I don't know what to say. Sometimes there are "locks" for battery packs (Averetec and Acer do this, I don't know about HP) which are switches you toggle.

I wouldn't worry about breaking the notebook! Most notebook are pretty sturdy.
