Walmart has that for $598 only for today online. Is this worth it? I keep reading HP is not reliable after 1 year.

Nice deal. Look at the dv7-3060us that Amazon and Office Depot carry too. Best Buy has a model with Blu-ray. I am seriously tempted by these notebooks.
The NVIDIA chipsets and dedicated GPUs used by the previous dv2000/dv6000/dv9000 series notebooks were highly prone to failure from thermal stress, often after a year or two. Every notebook maker using NVIDIA chips got hit. The current HP Pavilion AMD notebooks use ATI chips that were properly engineered. Reliability should be no worse than anyone else.
Edit: The Radeon HD 4200 with 128MB sideport memory is the best integrated GPU you can buy. Even the old HD 3200 without sideport could handle 1080p Blu-ray video flawlessly. The dv7-3060us has a Radeon 4530 dedicated GPU that's a big step up if you'll be doing moderate gaming, etc. -
Crap offer..... there's a Dv6 with T6600 And 4650 DDR3 for $650... which owns this nonsence..

DV7 has 17.3" 1600x900. Different things.
