    Hi,

I find the brightview on the HP dv2000t too bright. I work with a lot of text ~12 hours a day.

Is there a filter or any film available that I can stick on the LCD?

    TIA

Turn brightness down and make the following adjustment:

    Gamma .89
    Brightness 96%
    Nvidia Digital Vibrance ~25%

sure there are some great filters from 3m just search 3m privacy filter and you'll find them. Not cheap though.

have you tried just decreasing the brightness setting? FN-F9 is the key combo, I think, well it is on my NX series system...

It's always interesting to see how preferences can differ so much. I found the regular Brightview to be way too dim, and typically use my UltraBrightview at full blast, mostly editing text.
