The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP and Compaq Rebate Update.

    I just wanted to note that the $100 rebates have been extended until 12/1/2004. If you look on hpshopping.com, in the left column and click on 'mail-in rebates', you will see links to various parts of the site. If you click on the HP Notebook or Compaq Notebook ones, you will see the new/updated $100 rebates good through December, 2004.

    This is good news for those that thought they missed out by not ordering by 9/1/2004. HP and Compaq are still advertising the smaller rebates of $50 and $30, respectively which also do not expire until December, 2004.

    SAVE MORE AND GO FOR THE $100 good on any customizable HP or Compaq. Also good on the pre-config models listed on the rebate form.
