    HP Care Pack registration

    I just received my HP Care Pack in the mail and the note says, "You must return this card (with all fields filled in) to Hewlett-Packard within 10 days to be eligible for service." Is this 10 days from receiving the care pack or is it within 10 days of receiving my laptop? My laptop is currently in production with an estimated shipping date of July 25th. If someone could clear this up for me, it'd be very much appreciated! Thanks!

    I'd guess you need your laptop to fill in the serial number?

    I purchased my warranty with my laptop and had the same question. Upon calling HP, they informed me not to worry about it; that is just a general guideline. Once you receive your laptop, call in and register it with the care pack. I was on vacation when I received mine and it was ultimately more than 10 days until I registered it and it made no difference.

    Thanks for the heads up Justin! If HP gives me crap about this later on when I try to register my care pack after receiving my laptop, I'm gonna come looking for you! lol, I'm kidding. Alright, so thats one less thing I have to worry about for right now.
