    Hello to all here!
I like this board, and I'm glad to be here!
I have one month HP Compaq 6730s.
I have problem with the fan.

Very often under the Windows - the notebook just stick/stuck on some speed all the time (even when the computer is in IDLE mode)!
Very often it stucks on 50%, but It stuck/stick too on 60% and 70% fan speed!
I must say the notebook sometimes works as It suppose to be:
    under 50 C - 0 speed - Fan Off; around 50 C - 50 %; 60 C - 60 %; 70 C - 70%
Plus when the fan suck/stick on 50%;60%;70% and the themperatures are very low - the fan stars to blow cold or not warm air!

The picture from CPUID HardWare Monitor is attached!

    PLEASE NOTE:
DTSZ is Digital Thermal Senson whitch is always frozen! When it is frozen on some high temperature - 50-60-70-80 C - the fan works non-stop"!
    When I restart/stand by (always)/turn off/on power supply - DTSZ changes its status to lower temperature and the fan becomes to work normal - under 50 C - 0 speed - Fan Off; around 50 C - 50 %; 60 C - 60 %; 70 C - 70% !
I believe I have hardware issue with Digital Thermal Sensor!
I JUST BELIEVE I'M NOT SURE!

FDTZ is FAN SPEED.And it must be "%" not "C!

"The service specialist in my local point saw and accepted - "with the problem under Windows".But because my fan works under BIOS and under F2 HP Diagnostics Test (outside the Windows) like:
5 minutes totaly FAN Off;after directly 15-30 seconds very loud Maximum Fan Speed;2-3 minutes Fan Off;after directly 15-30 seconds Maximum Fan speed....
So the specialist can't help to me with someting real.Only with replacement of motherboard for example - but He told me "HP will not like it If the motherboard is healthy"
I made research and I found:
"Temperatures are read using the Digital Thermal Sensor (DTS). This is a temperature measurement system integrated directly into the CPU itself. As a result, it is generally very accurate, and works reliably regardless of the motherboard."
So if someting must be replace - It must be the CPU!

By his opinion because the fan works Off and On under BIOS - the problem is the Windows.
I paid with the notebook price for integrated Windows Vista Bus and HP Windows XP disks.
So I paid for all,but the problem is only mine.

I tried original intergrated Vista (5 times re-install to original factory);over 10 times XP ; the drivers one by one; and I'm with last BIOS version F.07

Now I think the situation under BIOS is very uncommon too, but I work under Windows not under BIOS....

What can I do?I don't want to use new notebook with Fan/Thermal Sensor problem!

    I'm very disappointed and sad!
I'm waiting for your advices please...
    Thank you for your attention.

    Regards,
    Zdravko Genov
