Hi all, I just recently bought this laptop at Circuit City (I waited 15 hours, first in line, price was $235) on Black Friday. My issue is that the CPU fan doesn't seem to switch on when the processor gets warm (it's constantly 50C at idle, 55-63C at full load). When the notebook first powers on, the CPU fan is on seemingly at full power for about three seconds, and then it turns off. Is there a way to control the fan manually?

Also, there's a problem with the CPU frequency scaling on my Vista Home Premium. When I first got it, I noticed it would go down to 753MHz when idle, but it no longer does this even though I set the max processor state to 50% when on battery and plugged in via power management console.

I'm not sure how, but the CPU frequency scaling is working now, however, the fan still won't switch to a higher RPM.
