    Hi,

I'm recently checking out the nx6115, and I really liked what I saw from the reviews. But, I really don't know what kind of graphics card it really has, since the HP site lists a "Integrated ATI MR X300" (is there such thing?), yet some review sites state a Xpress 200M chipset in there. Does anybody know what is really the graphics card?

It is in the Small Business section.

(I've always liked the looks of bland old black squares compared to the rounded Compaq V2000Z, so I looked up the nx6115.)

It is what it is - a X300 graphics core with shared memory making it more or less equivalent to the 200m GPU(maybe a little bit faster) used in the V2000z. It also has the same chipset as every other HP system with AMD processors - the ATi 200m.

So the X300 could play Counter-Strike: Source or Half-Life 2, right?

Well, only if you want to play with low settings. The shared memory kills some performance compared to the dedicated version.

Mobilityguru has a review of the nx6125 - the big brother of the nx6115. They share the same cpu options and the graphics card. It should give a good idea about the performance...

Well, depending on how much RAM you have, you may be able to eek out HL-2 on medium settings.

You guys think 1GB of RAM is enough? (For Source or HL2 on Medium Quality)

You might be able to, but you won't get good FPS I reccommend the full 2GBs if your budget will allow.
