    Hi,

My old HP nx7000 which was still used as surf PC gave up and i m not entirely sure of what to make of it, so i figured i d ask here if anybody else maybe has an idea of the possible failure ...

It worked quite fine, was shut down normally, only when it was tried to be switched on again nothing happened.

When power is plugged in the power symbol (flash) shortly shows red, and then switches to green, as the battery is charged. So far all normal.
However on hitting the power button that light actually goes out, and thats it. Nothing happens.

My guess is its mainboard simply died ... i guess it can happen after 5 years of use ...

Or is there any other obvious thing that i m overlooking which can have the same effect ?

ty for any replies, even if just to tell me i m right ;)
