HP Compaq nx7010 doesn´t start...

Hi !

I have a HP Compaq nx7010, 512 RAM, PM 1.5 Ghz, 64 MB ATI 9200, 60 GB 4200 rpm, WSXGA (1680x1050). I resently reinstalled windows and worked fine..almost.

I just installed the updates from:

And i installed the following :

Intel PROSet for Intel PRO/Wireless Network Connection
ENE CB-1410 CardBus Controller
HP Notebook LidSwitch Policy
Intel Chipset Installation Utility
ENE Cardbus CB-1410 PCMCIA Controller Driver

and then i turned it off...

It was the last time i did it because i cant turn it on anymore ....

Of course i checked the power..

Please help!

 

what do you mean by "cant turn it on"-no lights-noise-blue screen-beeps?

 

Nothing.... The only light is the one of the power when i connect the suply..it is dead

 

take the battery out and try running it only on AC power

 

It works....on my panic i didn´t pushed the power button enough time when i tried it without the battery...Sorry guys and thanks for the instant help...

So i have a battery problem? Normally i use it without battery. After the updates I went out and tried to turn it on with the battery...

Its quite a common issue, nothing to panic about. It doesnt just happen to HP laptops either.

No its not a battery issue, your battery is fine... it just happens?

But i have to solve some other problems now and maybe you have an idea.

1. I have an unknown device : Location: on Intel(R) 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24cc

2. the sd card driver doesn´t work .. I ´ve installed the drivers and it says that it works on the device manager..

as for the sd card reader.. maybe try an older version of the driver? not too sure


EDIT: actually that unknown device could be your SD card reader.
