Will the 200 dollar off coupon cancel out the 100 dollar instant savings and the 50 dollar mail in-rebate? If so then whats the point of the coupon since the 100 dollar instant savings is essentially the coupon imo.

The $200 coupon will cancel the $100 instant saving but not the $50 mail-in-rebate. The coupon will also cancel the student discount.
-
Do you need a $999+ system before instant savings and rebate or after to get the $200 off with this coupon?
-
I used the student discount and found out about the $200 off. Called hp and got an extra $100 off. They did not cancel the student discount. -
I talked to HP Rep yesterday. $200 coupon is not valid any more! Only first 200 customers!
-
-
That math is wrong. The student discount is on top of the $100 instant discount, so he essentially got student discount + instant discount + $100 off. Awesome deal.
-
We weren't talking about the $100 instant discount. We were talking about the Student discount and the $200 off coupon, which makes my math right.
On the other hand, if he got the $100 instant discount on top of that, he got a great deal and somebody in HP made a mistakebecause if you try to use that $200 off coupon on their website, both the student discount and the $100 instant saving are cancelled. The only one that stays is the $50 mail-in-rebate.
-
You just contradicted yourself. The $200 coupon INCLUDES the $100 instant discount (so it's kinda like a $100 coupon in actuality)
I am hoping to duplicated what midkhan did though. That's an awesome deal. -
HI there!
Few days ago HP rep told me that $200 Off coupon is not valid any more, but I traid it today anyways and it works. NB8474 is the coupon and you have to put it in in the checkout process + I'll still get my $50 mail-in rebate.
I ordered mine with only 512MB RAM, and I'll buy 2GB from newegg.com and save extra $100 vs. HP's 2GB RAM.
Mike!
P.S. BTW Coupon expires 9/02 -
Not that anyone needs yet another person jumping in here, but I just tried the coupon as well, and it worked like a charm. Build date is 9/12 (which a very cheerful newsletter attached to my car yesterday told me was going to be the beginning of a nuclear war).
Maybe I should have paid for the rush order! -
Hey guys... I hate to rain down on the parade of this exciting coupon, but even with the sacred $200 off coupon, Costco is still cheaper than HP.com without any coupon code. In fact, Costco is offering the HP $50 rebate off the order immediately! Plus a better return policy!
Here is what I priced out:
* Genuine Windows XP Home Edition
* Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor T7200 (2.00 GHz)
* 14.1" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800)
* 128MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7200
* HP IMPRINT Finish + Microphone + Webcam
* 512MB DDR2 SDRAM (2x256MB)
* 100 GB 5400 RPM SATA Hard Drive
* LightScribe Super Multi 8X DVD+/-RW w/Double Layer
* Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network w/Bluetooth
* 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
* Microsoft(R) Works/Money
* HP Notebook QuickDock
* HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope
HP with coupon and after tax = $1438.13
Costco with immediate HP $50 rebate = $1423.86
Still a No-Brainer to me.... The coupon seems silly, unless there is some sort of combination that it works out to be better than Costco. -
It is not working anymore
-
-
Yes your math is right. -
Liked the joke.
