$1000 for i7 + killer 650m.
is that in line with price for 2nd gen i7 + 6770m ?
looks like HP is going with nvidia this time around ?
that 1080p lcd upgrade is super expensive, considering the price difference is only $25 at laptopscreens.com -
-
Student discount does not work with the $400 coupon.
-
would order right now if they would ship to canada.
anyone in the states want to hold a laptop for me? -
-
good configure upgrades to reach $1399 seems to be:
1080p seems a must, more RAM (if you need it), faster HDD, mSSD, GT 650M (1 or 2GB depending on if its a dv6 or dv7) -
hmm is it only me or this generations dv7's are more expensive- even after coupon?
-
It just released what else would you expect

Is the performance of the mSSD any good? It would seem that simply bumping that up to 60+ gb to be a boot drive would be a lot more desirable than the 32 gb mSSD, but HP seems to be pricing the SDDs pretty agressively ($290 for 160gb upgrade from base harddrive, but I have no idea where they are sourcing them and it is pretty much a $2/gb price, somewhere around 50% to double what a lot of ssd's are going for these days).
