I know that the E-450 DM1 has two DIMM slots but is a single channel slot, yet it does support 8GB of RAM. Because it's not dual channel, 2x4GB would have no benefit over 1x4GB since the second slot ≠ dual channel in this notebook.

My question is: If I can put 1x8GB stick of RAM (such as this: Newegg.com - CORSAIR 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 Laptop Memory Model CMSO8GX3M1A1333C9) in 1 slot, will it be fully utilized? I know that some of the RAM is shared with the GPU, so I am assuming (if it works) it will help with the GPU.

Anyone have any more definitive information on whether or not this would work?
