I just got a brand new DM3-1044nr. I powered it on and played with it for 20 minutes and then went to install this bios update http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=4062&product=4011362 . Halfway through the install the entire machine froze up and after 45 minutes I had to restart it by taking out the battery. Now when I power on the machine it spins up for about 5 seconds, but the monitor remains blank and then the machine just sits there. I've read other threads about people repairing their bios by reflashing through a thumb drive. Is there any way to do this with a DM3 or is my machine pretty much borked?
