before microsoft rated it at 6 hours now they have knocked it down to 4.4

hp rates the dm3 @ up to 10hours

what are we missing? something sounds fishy

battery wear? I remember my dm3 w/ AMD would get hit with 3-5% wear almost weekly.
From what I've read, that unfortunately seems to be the norm with the 1044NR. How bright do you have the screen?

That`s a poor battery life for 6 cell battery and a SU4100 + 4500MHD , I get 7-8hr with my Acer 5810T battery according to HWmontor it has a 62640 mWh capacity battery.

I got this email from HP support. I do not know where they get their idiots but my god even a 5 year old has more brains than this idiot

", I apologize if there was any wrong information provided to you. However, as per the lithium-Ion battery technology a typical 6-cell Li-Ion battery pack holds a charge for around 2 hrs. An 8-cell battery holds charge for around 4 hrs and 12-cell battery holds the charge for nearly 6 hrs"

    LOL
looks like a copy and paste response

so... apparently a 13.3" laptop w/ Intel SU4100 w/ integrated graphics and an 18.4" Intel Core i7 w/ Nvidia GTS360 should get the same battery life on a 6 cell

did you mention HP's 10 hour claim?
