    HP DV 8000* coreduo+ newer GPU ???

    I'm looking to get this type of system. the 17 in monitor with the number pad, but the powerhungry p4 version has short battery life and gets too hot. While the Turion is a great cpu the ghetto 200m gpu kills it for gaming.
    Been some murmers of a coreduo with upgraded graphics, I can wait a little while, but if its going to be 3-6months I"ll have to look at other alternatives. Thanks for the info in advance

    Visit the MSI forum here and read up on the MSI MS-1036 Turion notebook. 256MB Radeon X700 plus a few others bells & whistles that the dv8000z doesn't have. They're more expensive but it's the best balanced 17" gaming notebook I know of at the moment.

    Price is kind of an issue and I'm not really familiar with msi as a system builder. Ive used mobo's vid cards in the past. How is quality and warre3nty ?
