Its just a new audio driver standard replacing the old AC'97 standard. Hardware makers(like Conexant) manufactures their audio chips & drivers to this standard & so is a required to be installed before installing the specific audio drivers. Usually UAA drivers should have been included by default in XP but since the drivers were finalized after XP was released it has to be instaled separately.

The procedure for installing the modem drivers are the same. When you run the MS UAA setup, Windows will pop up the 'New hardware found' wizard for both devices(audio & modem). You can either use the Windows hardware found wizard and point it to the folder containing the respective drivers or you can just run the setup for both audio & modem drivers(you can download these from HP's website).

Base System Device - It could be either the chipset or a component of the media card reader. I'm not quite sure about this one. But try installing the Itel ICH7 drivers & check device manager.

Ethernet controller - Install the Intel Pro 100/1000 drivers.

Network Controller - This might be the wireless card. If you havent yet installed the wifi drivers, then install it & check.

Unknown Device - This is the HP quicklaunch buttons drivers. Download & install the HP Quicklaunch software.

Card Reader - Install the media card reader drivers.

You can download all the above drivers from here...

Just enter the model number & select the correct OS.

    Miner...
Well, no words for this guidance, excellent forum with excellent short time reply!!..

Thanks again for assisting me, every thing seems to be working fine now.

However just one thing, when i installed OS, i turned off my SATA Enabled option in BIOS. Now after installation of OS and all other applications, when i turn it ON, my OS hanged up... One of my friend was telling me that XP HE support the SATA however XP Professional does not. Is that true ? If not then what's the procedure to activate it ?

    Regdz,

    Glad to help!
As for the SATA problems, you'll have to install the Intel SATA drivers before re-enabling SATA support in the BIOS. Follow the steps in the link below from Step 15. the steps wont be exactly the same in your case since you dont have the SWSetup folder. Just download the HDD drivers from HP's website, extract them & follow the steps in the guide...

Done, SATA start working perfectly as guided in the mentioned link >>

Excellent Support. I think this forum is better than the HP support.

    Cheers!!!
