Recently while trying to fix a problem with audio jack sockets, I've upgraded the Bios to version F.2D. I'm not sure if it's relevant to that, but somewhere around that time some serious problems with overheating started. Before I'd underclock it (by the way, which software would allow it for this HP model?), would it be possible to upgrade it with new Bios versions, which aren't listed for that model on the HP site? F.2D is the newest one for 1099, but I've noticed there are quite a few versions which were released afterwards. Would any of those be applicable?

Seems like newer version of BIOS, not sure the model, and not for Vista though
