Hi, I have an older HP that I had gifted to my little brother when I upgraded, and it's started to have problems.

When I push the power button, it powers on, then shuts off, then powers on again, and shuts off, and continues to do so until power is completely pulled from the laptop.

Is there any way to salvage this laptop, or do I yank the HDD and dust bin it?
