Hello, I'm considering this laptop, but have some reticence due to upgradability. The model I'm considering is of the Celeron M variety, but I'd like to upgrade it to a Pentium M some time down the road; is this at all possible?

The model is DV1010ca (Canada), I believe. Please, to those who are knowledgable and/or know their tech like the back of their hands, advise on whether a CPU upgrade is possible.

    Thanks

P.S a little aside, I'm feeling apprehensive about it now that I think about it. I'm beginning to see more and more of these DV1xxx models in the FS forums; is this caveat emptor or what? Seems to me like a laptop this great should not be unloaded so frequently. I really like the overal package, but perplexed by why owners are so haste to unload, and in most cases, at a big lost to themselves.

They're probably all buying the HP L2000 Special Edition Turion notebooks instead :D. Or the other regular edition Turion equivalents of the dv1000/V2000. I'm not sure what's available in Canada, but here in America the L2000 is the one to get.

I know someone on the forums for this notebook, www.dv1000forums.com, upgraded his Pentiu M cpu to a faster one.

Thanks for the forum suggestion, especially for taking the effort in responding in both threads to my query.

    Thanks again.
