    HP DV1000 Laptop Screen freezes

    I have a 3 year old HP DV1000 where the image on the screen freezes and suddenly loses colour. To get the screen to refresh I have to adjust the screen by moving it and the image refreshes and colours restore.

    Can anyone advise what the issue is and how to fix it?

    Damaged LCD cable? Or loose cable? Tough problem to troubleshoot. Do external displays work OK?
