I have had this computer for three years with very little use. Yesterday it just turned off for no reason. Plenty of battery. It would not power up again, nothing - no lights. I let it sit for about ten minutes and tried it agin. It turned on and booted up then after a minute or two it just shut down again. Keeps doing it. Sometimes it won't turn on for an hour or two. I powered it up with out the battery using just the cord, nothing. I then as suggested removed the battery and power cord, held the on button for thirty seconds and release, plugged back in and it did come on but then shut down again. Here is one hint of what may be wrong, it seems that it shuts down if I move the computer, screen or hit a key. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Have you tried entering BIOS and seeing if the computer shuts down after a couple minutes or after hitting a key?

It sounds like the internal Power Supply in the laptop is going. It could also be the motherboard though. Let me know about my above question and we can go from there.

No I haven't. I am sorry but I don't know how. Right now the computer won't come on at all, no lights, nothing. Any suggestions?

if you have the time, look at the service manual and pull your notebook apart. Check for any issues and put it back together. If something is loose then it could be fixed.
