    HP DV1000T question

    Anybody know if the new HP DV1000T come with PCI Express support, as to install it a dedicated graphic card (like de ati x1600) after buying it?

    The motherboard has integrated graphics solution which unfortunately doesn't have a GPU upgrade path.

    The short answer is no.

    The dv1000t is probably too small for something like the x1600.

    Laptop mag. reviews it in this months issue. They like it, gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

    Most likely kept it out to reduce costs. Isn't there a 14" lappy coming out with an x1600 in it?

    An x1600 doesn't fit with the laptop profile ATI gives to OEM vendors. If anything, you'd probably get a ATI x1400.
