I have been searching these forums and the web the last few days to find out if a HP DV1700 with a Intel 940GML can be upgraded with a better CPU?

    What I know so far:

-What I have right now in the DV1700 is a Celeron M 410.
-I have taken the machine apart at read the chipset number, it IS a 940GML.
-What I have read from the web, is that NO dual core will ever work with a 940GML chipset.
-I have noticed that there IS support for dual core CPU's in the BIOS. Starting from the T2050 all with several others upto the T2500. Although I would think that the same BIOS covers the 945GM version chipset, in which I do not have.

Has anyone had any success upgrading to dual core with the DV1600 / DV1700 model with a 940GML?

From what I gather, it looks like that the only upgrade is a T1350. Where I live there are none for sale.
Although I can find for sale either a T1300 or a T1400 I could buy. The T1300 CPU has BIOS support that I know of. Both CPU's are 667 FSB, but the chipset is rated to 533 FSB maximum. Will the T1300 or T1400 CPU's work? If they do, will the chipset lock down to the lowest multiplier?

    BUMP!

Any chance a T1400 or T1300 will work?

BIOS supports T1300, although the chipset is a 940GML, will it still work?
