    HP DV2000 Series Random Beeping

    Its always done this.. it randomly makes a beeping noise, usually every couple hours. Lately its not a quick beep, but a kind sick drawn out beep.. any ideas? thanks!

    When you hear the beeping do you have any devices connected to the laptop such as a BT dongle, flash drive etc.?

    Have you tried it without the mouse.

    My computers both laptop and desktop sometimes beep when I have a USB bt dongle attached.

    Not an expert or anything just think you may want try giving the mouse a break and see if the sound persists.
