I got my dv2000z from bestbuy yesterday, and at about 10 am i started using the battery, but after about 2 miniute the fan kicked in, at low speed, but it didn't stop for the entire 20 miniute i was using the laptop on battery, and also if I listened very closely, i can hear random beep from the computer, not loud at all, but a beep like when a popup blocker blocks a popup. Is there something wrong with this.

By the way for the entire last 15 miniute i was on I wasn't doing anything, no progarm was open either, i looked at the hp wallpaper and started to worry when the fan didn't turn off.

Run Task Manager and see if there are any background processes using up CPU time.
