Sorry for cross-posting, I posted this is the gamer's section but then realized that its much more appropriate in the HP section!

    Hi,

I am very interested in a DV2000T, it comes with intel duo core and Geforce 7200 go.

My target is to be able to run Oblivion at medium settings, HL2 and Quake 4 too..

My main purpose for this laptop is actually to do work (programming, matlab, etc), but gaming on the side will be good. I know it is *much* cheaper to game on a desktop, so will probably jump on the next Dell Desktop Superdeal (you know, the ones with the 24" LCD).

My question is: should I wait for HP to upgrade the DV2000 series to Duo Core 2? If I wait, will they change the 7200 go to at least a 7400 or (gasp) 7600 go??
And if so, how long would this wait have to be?

    Thanks!

EDIT: also, I prefer to stay with 14".. 15" is not portable enough for me..
