My HP DV2310ca laptop wont boot. I've had this problem before. When I had my warranty, I took it back to the store where I purchased it and they told me that it was a simple problem where the HD was not connecting properly to the board, so they simply reconnected the HD back to the board and it started working again.
Yesterday while in class, I had that problem again. I opened up the HD case and reconnected the HP back to the board but the laptop still wont boot up. I screwed the HD back into the casing and made sure everything was nice and firm, but it still wont boot.
Another question I have is that the BIOS screen is not coming up either. Even though my HD might not be detected correctly, shouldnt the BIOS screen at least come up when I boot the laptop?

Your NVIDIA GPU is fried. Extremely common problem. -

You'd need to replace the motherboard, which is usually more $$$ than it's worth. You can attempt repairing it:

Man!! this computers are dropping like flies...I think this is the third person in less than 1 week that have come to the forum with the same issue.

I see im not the only one, this is such BS! HP should RECALL them, ?!?!?!
Is there a VP or CEO to harass? Cause this is really getting on my nerves, im like 2 weeks out of the 'extended' warranty, and low level tech support couldn't care less, this wouldn't fly in the auto industry, why do computer makers get away with defective products?!
Low level tech says my S/N is not included in extended warranty...BS

Well, as per our records, your notebook is out of warranty since 367 days and is not in the list of recalled notebooks. So this is not the defective notebook and is a good notebook.

Should I send the email to more than one person, or just wait for whoever answers Mr Hurds e-mails to respond? -

Sending to just that account will do. They have multiple people reading it. No guarantee that they'll do anything of course.
