    Hey guys,

My sister has an HP DV2416US laptop, and it seems theres a problem with the headphone port. When she plugs in headphones or external speakers or whatever into one of the minijacks, the speakers will mute, as they should, but the thing plugged in will have no sound. I noticed that it makes a very slight hiss in my headphones when I plug them in, but no actual sound.

We've tried reinstalling drivers thusfar. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

    Thanks!
