It's now listed at best buy's website, probably gonna be in stores very soon.

Damn, that's slick.
-
It's nice, and knowing bestbuy, will probably be on sale right away for around $900. I just wish HP would offer these special edition chasis's in all sizes (I like the white but want it in 14.1) and offer a higher resolution screen.
-
That is really slick.

I like that a lot - I'm going to have to go and see this beauty in person. It's available at most stores according to the website.
-
Is this model limited to bestbuy?
-
no i think it's just new not limited to one store.
-
I found it on display in my best buy today (it is limited to best buy) and they also had a sony cr model on display too.

That´s something I´d buy!

It seems very nice looking, even better than the regular dv2500. Pretty solid config and price too, although it would have been nice if it had the dedicated graphics option.
-
That's pretty nice there...
Too bad it's a dv2500t ><" -

I love the colors but think the design could be better, or not there at all. (the pattern not the notebook design)

I saw this model at Best Buy last weekend. It was extremely attractive looking, but the weak processor killed the deal. A T5250 Core 2 Duo processor simply won't cut it for me. It nearly broke my heart just to walk away from that beauty. HP really knows how to market their laptops... stick their overstocked slow processors in beautiful casing and create a dilemma for laptop buyers everywhere.
I know it's just business, but it still seems so unfair. Isn't the dv25xx naming system supposed to denote Santa Rosa processors? -
man i like it but that config sucks! doesn't have the t7100 or the better t7300 or dedicated graphics with hdmi....
love the look, hate the specs -
I went and saw this at Best Buy last weekend as well, and while I agree that the CPU is a bit low for the price, it is a very high quality laptop.
They have made the keyboard smooth, without the graininess you find on the keys of almost every other laptop including the regular dv25000s. The bronze colour scheme is very nice looking; makes it different looking from the now very popular dv2000 and dv6000 models.
I do wish it had the 8400M available through the custom configuration. -
I was in the market for a laptop this fall, but because the delivery date for a CTO fell right in the middle of my vacation, I decided to go with one right out of the Best Buy store. Found this beauty in their weekly ad and picked it up two days ago.
I love it. Vista works great for me (surprise), the color scheme is amazing, the touch controls are really handy, plus it was alot of good hardware for a great price.
The Dual Core 2 is only 1.5 Ghz (compared to 1.8 on my year old Gateway AMD Sempron) but it seems to work a whole lot better. Plus, the 2GB of RAM really really helps. -
They have dropped the price by $200 now, so it isn't that bad anymore. The Verve colour scheme and design is brilliant.
-
That's a sweet looking laptop. Another I'm gonna look at.

That is very nifty looking.

do you guys think the dv2550se will eventually have better settings? I'm in the market for a new laptop but don't want the dv2500t because I think the radiance imprint is ugly. I'll just be plain mad if a month later the upped the settings on the verve.
Otherwise, I hope they have another special edition for the 14" dv series; one that can be customized online.
