    Hi,
I have a Hp DV2550se and 6 months back i upgraded my laptop from windows vista to windows 7 as i purchased it from my university. I did the upgrade myself and also updated the drivers all by myself. My specs are as follow:

    HD: 160gb 540rpm
    RAM: 2gb DDR2
    Microprocessor: 1.5 GHz Intel® Centrino® Duo processor technology featuring Intel® Core ™ 2 Duo processor T5250 32 BIT
Video Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (shared)
Video Memory: Up to 384 MB

I want to upgrade my laptop to 500gb hard drive and 4gb ram AND i also want to upgrade my video card to 1gb G-Force. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade to such specs from what i currently have right now. Please adivce. Thanks.

The memory/hdd upgrade can be very easily done.

Upgrading the GPU is a no-go, can't do anything about that, you're stuck with the X3100.

You're lucky you didn't get an Nvidia GPU in it when you bought it, or in six months your laptop would be dead.

But do you think upgrading my hdd/ram to 500gb (from 160gb)/4gb (from 2gb ram) can easily be done without any incompatibility issues on a 32-bit laptop?

Yes that can be done without issue. Though you will only be able to access about 3.2GB of RAM with 32bit even though it will report 4GB.

A 500GB 7200RPM HDD will be a very nice boost in HDD performance.
