This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP DV2700 with XP - Audio jack fix?

    I posted this in the wrong thread, sorry bout that. ;-)

    I just blew away a dv2700, installed XP Pro with a SS disk. Drivers are in okay, no device manager issues. However...... ;-)

    The audio jacks don't mute onboard speakers.

    I don't think the quick launch buttons are working either, volume clicks with going up or down, mute works the rest don't do anything.

    I have no indicator that the HMDI audio drivers are installed, the way it showed under Vista in device manager.

    Everything else is working as far as I can tell. I'm on the laptop now actually.

    Anyone have a fix for the audio jacks? That's actually the most annoying problem.
