Hello i just bought a DV4-1124nr from circuit city for $599. The laptop has been nothing but disappointing. But my main issue is that when i am browsing the web it will run strong for about 2 minutes and then eventually get stuck loading a page for hours. When i restart it it will work again for another 2 minutes and then freeze up on another page. I've tried to connecting to other routers but to no avail the same issue keeps happening. Anyone having this problem? I would return it if i could but CC will charge me 15% restocking fee.
P.S.- Is it me or is the fan ridiculously annoying. I checked off "always on" in bios but its still annoying.

hi there. I also just bought the Dv4-1124nr at Circuit city for $599
I have no experienced the issues you are having with the wifi and the internet. So far my experience has been great. The computer runs perfect, it's fast and hasn't had any crashes. Only thing I'm dissapointed about is the battery life... you win some you lose some I guess. What dissapoints are you having?
It sounds to me like you are having an installation issue with the original installation, or a hardware issue. Any case there is no solution but to return it. You shouldn't have to Pay the 15% restocking fee if it's a hardware issue, and they should give you the option to replace or refund, but it looks as though they are all sold out in every store and online now (no more page available online) So you will get a refund.
hmm right this second the fan is annoying. But I think it's heating up pretty hot so it's really blowing. Usually I don't notice, then again I'm used to a desktop with fans blowing and white noise in the background... -
What WLAN card is it? Also, what router are you using? Have you updated drivers? Also, try re-installing drivers.
Does the webapge freeze, or the whole computer? -

Yah it is a wonderful machine. I have a HP Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz desktop with 1ghz of Ram and XP. This laptop blows that guy away. I also have an older 12" Powerbook one of the aluminum ones. The fan on that isn't very loud either, but it gets so hot you can hardly hold it. This one hasn't been too bad and a nice hand warmer. lol
I hope it all works out for you alright. Let us know if you are able to get a replacement or what you decide to get. -
Try going to 192.168.1.1 in adress bar.
Username: Admin OR User
Password: password OR admin
Then look in your router settings for something that should say "Update Firmware".
Try Repairing the connection. Also go to run>cmd>ipconfig /renew. Also try ipconfig /release
Go under details of connection and see if you have an IP Address. Should start with 192.168.
