I am looking at the HP DV4I video card and cannot find out anything about this card online. I see info on the desktop version but the mobility version seems to be new. Would this card be OK for light gaming -mostly older titles? Does anyone have this card or know where I can find some benchmarks? I know it's not top of the line. It's not even listed on notebookcheck.

I have the 3450 512MB and it plays everything up to GTAIV. It isn't able to achieve a playable framerate in GTAIV, strangely my 8400GS 256MB does. I think you'll be just fine.

This card is no longer being offered as an option for customizing the dv4i on the HP website. It seems like you are forced to get only the Intel HD graphics. Anyone have any ideas why?

i would say you can play anything until 2006 somehow, newer games only on very low settings. of course it very depends on your memory (if gddr3 its good). just make sure you have the most recent bios update for your notebook if available and use the upcoming official ati mobility drivers (10.3 being released on march 24). you already can get the preview driver here http://sites.amd.com/us/underground/tips/Pages/catalyst-10-3-preview.aspx
