    which one would you guys recommend?

    i will be using the laptop for college, some video editing, and some games such as counter strike source and cod4

    the XPS M1330 has serious problems with its dedicated GPU overheating and dying. There's a giant thread in the Dell XPS subforum. Also, its got the defective nVidia card as well.

    the Z is one of the best looking laptops ever ;)
    but it's wayyy out of my budget

    Thanks, with that configuration it was a little under $3k.

    If you're set on getting the HP, you should sign up for EPP (University Discount) so you could save a couple hundred bucks if you're not using any coupons.

    if only i was rich i would so get the Z :p

    but yeah i'm still not sure about the HP... cause the graphic card is not so good, why can't there be a affordable thin and light notebook that has a decent gpu..
