So last night, I was trying to login to my DV5135NR and was unable to because the a,s,d, and f keys no longer work, what could be wrong with it and what is the likely cost? I was thinking maybe I need to replace the keypad and that would make it better...

It does sound like a broken keyboard. You can get new replacement keyboards on eBay for fairly cheap. I replaced a coffee-saturated dv9000z keyboard that way.

    Or... anyone?

It sounds like it would need to be replaced as Brian previously mentioned. The A,S,D and F keys are all located in one region which could mean that sticky substances got into those keys.

Try reseating it first before replacing.
