Hi, I want to get my wife a replacement for her old Toshiba laptop and I got this coupon from Costco for this computer for $1100. We'll be using it when we travel in our RV. Says it has the Intel duo process with 1024MB Ram, 80 GB hard drive, Windows XP Media Center. We are not gamers, would use it mainly for routine communication, word processing, webcam. Battery life important as you often have to take your computer outside to pick up WiFi in RV parks.

Would appreciate your comments on the computer and the deal. Thanks.

Intel duo process with 1024MB Ram... good configuration. even if u are not using it for hi end processing working on dual processor is always a pleasant experience.

As far as battery life, I have a dv1000t, and purchased the 12 cell battery.

I got OVER 7 and a half hours of life from the battery, while surfing the next, writing DVD's, downloading, e-mailing, and running Norton Utilities....

Great battery life if you get the 12 cell.
