Please excuse me if this has been discussed at length but I am new here.

I just purchased a new HP DV5T and I love it with the exception that my mute button most of the time will not turn off of it's red color. I have narrowed this down to my virus software (I use Symantec Endpoint v11).

If I un-intall that it seems to work fine. Also occasionally if I load a new driver to something, such as network card, it will work after the first reboot but that is it.

Has there ever been a definite resolution found to this problem??
