    Hi everyone,

I own an HP dv5t (core2duo processor, 4GB ram, Nvidia graphics) that I bought in late 2008.

I have a few old flat screen monitors that I want to extend my display with, but am running into a problem as they only have VGA connectivity.

The dv5t only has 1 VGA port, and I want to connect at least two (three is ideal, don't think graphics will support though) external monitors and not use the laptop screen at all.

I don't want to invest $100 on a digital-analog converter to transform my HDMI output to VGA, and noticed that I have an HP dock port (right between VGA and ethernet).

Is there any way I could purchase an HP docking station (that has 1 or more VGA ports) and use this to support an additional monitor?

Any advice on this, or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
