Hi guys , I'm new to this forum..
My question is that I have a new HP laptop DV6 with Windows 7 basic. The main reason is for audio recording and production..I can not get this working with TC Electronics Konnekt 6.There is constant audio dropouts and distortion..After a long research I found that it is because of the Firewire chipset JMicron JMB380.I wanted to buy a seperate Texas Instruments chipset for that but later I found out since the JMB380 controls the express card, there's no use buying another one..

What do you guys think about it? How can I solve this issue? Is there a way to exclude express card controller from the JMB380..

    thanks
