    Hi

I have just bought the HP DV6 3006TX. I try to install the ethernet adapter but unsuccessfull. I download the lasted driver for windows 7 64bit on realtek homepage. When i install driver, it said "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable"

I searched on Google and have no idea. Can you please give me some solution to fix this problem.

    Thank you very much

Does the ethernet port appear in device manager?

yes, i already plugged cable in, also plugged the power adapter in but nothing changes. I refund it and get money back. This is my first HP. I just use it in less than 24 hours. My old Toshiba is such a very cheap laptop, with Intel Pentium Dual Core T2390, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB HDD, just $700 AUD. I bought it 2 years ago and it has been working very well and stable until now. My situation confirms the reliable laptop chart is definitely right :(. I will never touch any HP laptops again.

Well, I didn't have anything right from HP within 24 hr either but it was cheap.

It looks like faulty wiring or hardware.
Anyways, looks like you take it up with HP or return it. ;)
